Fred, I'm interested in the one located back right on the blue tray in 2nd pic. It's a quick take apart reel. I believe it is a silver beach ? No need to service it. What's your price plus shipping ?

 Thanks,Ted

Wait until you receive the reel on the payment, Ted —-

To make sure it meets your expectations.  It is super smooth, all functions are perfect, unusual color butterscotch football knob, no part numbers, shows wear all over, but little if any corrosion, great freespool.

I'll drop it in the mail Monday.

Best, Fred

$65, James.

Let me know, I will be shipping today.

No payment until after you receive the reel.

These tiny Mini-Mites have ball bearings, all metal, skirted metal spools, gold in color, and a spring-loaded handle that is unique and works well.  I have personally landed 5 and 6 pound Rainbows with this reel over in the Eastern Sierras along with a 6' Fenwick rod.  And it fits in the palm of your hand.  Little powerhouses that are attractive as well as capable.

I think the first one I used was in 1980.  These might have been introduced in '78.  Japanese engineering.

Just a big Thank You to 6 members who picked up (10) reels out of this group.

Packed and ready to go down to the Post Office at 3:00 PM.

Glad these are going to our OHANA.

It is a big help to get rid of these.

Many of these reels are unusual, desirable, and will all be at prices about 30% below the market.

Here are (10) more I am tossing on the bench.

Shakespeare 2065 SpinWonder
Zebco SurfLite 860
Rogue 150
Centaure, bull-horn half bail
Shimano Custom X-3000 Quick-Fire
Langley Spindrift 860A in Maroon
Penn Seaford, very old, fresh service, works as new, waffle
Mitchell CAP, half bail, pillar spool, metal crank knob
Airex Larchmont
Ru-Pacific, half bail, large Surf Reel

All work well, and some are very rare.

Best, Fred

Heck, Part B monthly premium increase, Part B deductible increase, Supplement monthly premium increase & part D deductible increase added together almost tripled the measly 2.5% COLA increase, and that doesn't even take into consideration the regular ongoing & rising inflation.  :(  ::)  :-X

No worries, Tom —-

A couple of our members of questionable standing are sending you this Rogue 150 reel.

You should receive it Friday or Saturday.

Our Ohana is strong —- and we have some very good folks on our site.  And they do not want to be identified or recognized.

N/C on anything.

Thanks for being a good, knowledgeable member.

We have the best, most unselfish, and honest folks found anywhere in the world, on Alan's site.

Holy Smokes! 😮 I don't feel deserving of such a wonderful gesture and gift. You guys are amazing human beings!  :al

I've been keeping my eyes open for one of those I felt I could afford for nearly 20 years! Every time I would think I was getting close someone would drive the price up out of reason. 🫤  The kindness of the Ohana never ceases to amaze me!  8)  I owe y'all big time! :d

Thank you! 👏

That Rogue reel should be made today.  The materials, features, and quality are all top shelf —- and manufactured by hand by angler/machinists who fished primarily the Pacific Northwest for Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout.

I know that Tom will go through it professionally, and give us a great report on it.

No better person to get this reel.

Hi Fred,
Happy holidays.

I need a screw for a DQ 330 side plate. It's the short screw that holds the side plate to the frame at the tail end. There are two on the reel, one on each side, I only need one.

Please PM me with your address and price. I'll mail cash.

Also what's your parts situation for the DQ 550?

Regards,
OR

OK, Eric — got it addressed and ready to go to the Post Office on Thursday.

I think they were originally kind of a satin black finish. At least a couple of good photos of barely used examples I've seen appear to be satin, not rough or wrinkled.

I had a blonde moment, keep in mind this is my 1st Mini-Mite. I received the reel from Fred yesterday & was checking it out,I kept hearing a noise like the rotor was hitting something? I always thought that little protrusion on the reel stem makes the reel look soooo cool...It trips the bail  ;D

Amazingly the Rogue showed up at my door already today.  :o  That was sure quick! A big thanks again to the incognito Ohana "members of questionable standing"  ;D  who opted to award/reward me with this cool 😎 gift!  :al

I opened it up and took an peek inside. Quite a unique design. This is going to be a complicated & tedious dis & re assemble. Lots of little screws, nuts and pins to remove & reinstall, especially without any sort of guide to go by.  :o  I think the original paint was probably satin. Here's a couple of fresh pics.
