Title: 500 jigmaster spool gear question
Post by: CoastieFlo on March 30, 2012, 06:07:19 AM
Is there any way to adjust the gear? (cog wheel) attached to the shaft on the end of a 500 jigmaster spool?  Or does a person just have to buy a new spool all together?  Im servicing 2 500's right now and that cog moves back and forth some on one of the spools....which im thinking is not a good thing lol.

When you are talking about the cog, I am presuming that you are talking about the clicker wheel.  You can tack that down with spot weld, jb weld, brazing, etc.  If you are referring to the pinion gear, it should slide back and forth on the spool shaft.

no I mean the clicker wheel, I just didnt know its 'official' name :)

yeah JB Weld would be easier than finding a new spool, thanks!
