Title: Making a rods rack and some shelf to store reels, spools

Just make some racks to stand rod needly on the wall and some small ,very narrow shelf to store reels .Can only put baitcasting reel because shelf are small , shelf in back of door can't make it big

Thank you Fred ,I used hard wood floor blank left over from another job so they're only 3 in wide .Choose long pieces to do that

I like it. I'm always hesitant to put anything behind a door but it's an effective use of space as long as nothing gets knocked over.

i have the same blue aluminum rod rack.  it's from amazon.  very reasonably priced.  i had to brace it up a little and then added wheels!!!

I don't have the floor space so I use these racks on the wall. They're lagged into the wall studs so they're plenty strong

Nice workmanship Quang!

Here is what I made:

Easy to make, holds a ton of rods with a small footprint, and easy to move around.  You can even turn it sideways to move it without spilling rods.  Made mine with  a CNC router, but you can do something quite similar with a table saw an a drill with a hole saw.

Dave I was hoping to see rods sticking out the side holes too.

Everyone is a comedian around here.   The extra holes make it lighter, and there isn't any extra work if a CNC router is doing all the cutting.

They are really practical.  I use several of them.   Wouldn't change a thing in the design.
