The new shimano talica 40 has been presented. Do you have any idea about the technical sheet?

This Tac 40A has been officially presented, and I'm quite disappointed. It's basically a 50A with nothing more. However, I hope they'll offer a Talica 60 or 70A in the future; at least us tuna and swordfish enthusiasts would be happy to use 1,600 yards of 100-pound braid.

The 50 holds enough of any braid that is useful to a stand-up angler to stop basically any fish in the world. The women's world record Swordfish was taken on a Talica 50. If you "need" a bigger reel that segment is already served by the Tiagras, in my opinion.

The 40 is "just" a narrow 50 and is a bit of an odd reel, it's not that much lighter than the 50 to make it compelling.

A 60A talica would be useful to get 1600 yards of reserve in braid. The main goal is to avoid as much as possible the odious phenomenon of increased drag, due to braid being emptied from the spool. Furthermore, it is now increasingly easier to connect to Giant BFT during deep daytime swordfishing sessions. I believe it is a consequence of the legislation on the protection of the species.A friend spent 7 hours fighting a BFT at 1800 feet... An experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.Okuma Makaira has introduced the MK80 ll designed for swordfishing and sharkfishing, I would like to see Shimano's response
