Hi Folks,

Wondering if it's possible to increase the speed of an older Spheros 18000FB with a different pinion gear? Perhaps from a newer model or Saragosa or something? Or just wishful thinking?

Looking at the surrounding bearings, the pinion and drive gear from a Saragosa 14000 of the same era might fit, and would get you 4.9:1 as far as I know. Probably not worth doing.
