It would take a lot of cornmeal to get that ole girl fried up !!  Glad it's still swimming!

The best cat bait I have found is mullet gut,the skankier the better,it's nastay some may dry heave.

Then a coworker told me his dad cuts raw chicken breast into 1" cubes,then marinates it in any flavor red Kool-Aid(dry, just the powder) & adds garlic powder.He freezes it & always has bait ready. It's all he uses for smaller channel cats.I add anise for nastiness sake

Blues like cut bait(skip jack when available)

Flathead or appaloosa prefer live bream.I have heard Flatheads taste better the bigger they get?

I am mostly a pond fisherman,I never heard of planer boards?
