Hi,
Glad to have finally signed up here. Hope I find something useful to contribute. Living up here in the PNW. Setting up for some crab fishing in Oregon from the beach and so forth (not boats).
Done a bit of fishing in my life. First fish? Oak Creek Canyon 1965. Was swimming, came back to my pole and it was fish on. Lost that pole into Salton Sea a few years later.
Fished in Alaska for three years '79-'81.
Done a bit of spear fishing like a lot of people who read The Last of The Blue Water Hunters when it came out.
Lookin forward to some good stories on here.
Welcome! We have something in common. I started fishing in 1965 also. Caught my first fish, a 12" common carp on a cane pole.
Hi, Where in Oregon are you? I am in KF.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome from the SoCal Inland Empire! - john
welcome!!!!
Greetings Bump!
Alaska is something else, huh?
Lots of local guys spearfish here. I've done it a number of times on the California coast, but that was using SCUBA gear. Nowadays I can't tolerate snorkeling for too long around the reefs. I think it's the pressure(even on the surface) affecting my heart.
Greetings, bump, from Minnesota USA.
Temps in mid-50s today (2/25) after below zero highs last week. Now for an ice melt!
Frank
