Hello everyone, new guy here!
First off I want to say thank you to the combined knowledge of the forum: I use the threads about the 704z/706z & Crack 300 as my primary references when rebuilding my reels this winter.
As a part time machine shop owner, avid surfcaster & a sucker for history I decided to modify a few derelict classics this winter. My choices were the 706z and a Crack/Luxor 300. I will write up individual threads on each reel, but here's the preview.
Each got stripped, cleaned, milled / drilled, bead blast, cerakote, new bearings, updated drag, stainless hardware & rebuilds.
Welcome. Striking looking reels. I'm interested in the Crack drag upgrade.
Nice reels your restoring, and welcome from Sunny Western Australia, cheers Don.
I like it. You were not nearly as aggressive as some I've seen where they took something strong and made it weak for the sake of making it look cool. But it definitely still looks cool. You got it just right. :d
Welcome from the SoCal Inland Empire. - john
Welcome aboard!

Very clean! The colors and finish are killer! That being said.....
Are you gonna move on to custom handles/ knobs? You are obviously talented! Keep it up
Welcome, and your reels look great.
