Just for fun, I'm restoring an old salt water solid fiberglass boat rod that has the old style wooden handle. The chromed reel seat is part of the handle and there is a male end ferrule that is on the fore grip attached to the rod. The reel seat is serviceable, however the two sections will not seperate, I'm sure due to corrosion inside. Also the ferrule is starting to crack where the fore grip enters.
I was able to get both wooden sections out of it with heat and am soaking it with PB Blaster in hopes to get it apart, but don't have high expectations of it working.
If anyone knows of a source for these, or has a set to part with, the ones I need are 3/4" ID.
Thanks,
Kal
You are probably looking for Lakeland or Varmac ferruled reel seats like this:

Ebay is your best bet or you can upgrade with a newer reel seat such as the Pac Bay:

dayOne,
Thanks for the tip. Varmac guy was out of the one I think I need, RS-2.

Cleaning up well enough to use.
Now waiting for the box with guides and stuff from MudHole.
