What is your preference for frame bearings in Bass Casting Reels?

Thanks,

Ron

for better casting, i'd recommended a light oil rather than grease.

Alan,

I appreciate the reply but I was referring to FRAME bearings....not SPOOL bearings. I'm currently using Super Lube in my shop but I'm looking to try something new.

Thanks,

Ron

I'd probably use Cal's Drag and Reel Grease and pack the bearings 100% just to keep water out of them. Either tan or purple; I'd use purple due to the lower viscosity.

I've used superlube the last 5 years in all my freshwater reels with no problems. Saltwater I use marine grease.

Marine grease in Frame bearings & frame coating etc....
Long term protection...

TSI 321 in Spool bearings and level wind...
The TSI has a very long freshwater life, at least a full season or more...
Its light enough that it allows Fast/easy Casting....

Cals drag grease on the drag stack....
