Title: Fin-nor primal pr10hs click spring install
Post by: captfrank66 on March 23, 2025, 01:40:07 PM
Well no good dead goes unpunished.  Helping to try to fix the clicker on my buddies Fin-nor primal prm10ldhs reel. No videos on it so not sure how to   install. The spring and other part there (#42 the brake  ring holder assy )  where in pretty tight so needed to pry out. Tried to install the new spring and can't figure out how to do it as when placed in part #42 the brake  ring holder assy I can't get it put in place/seated  to put the 3 screws in place. The last time I tried I thought I had it seated I put a screw in then was pressing down to make sure still seated and the screw went flying, and I can't find it.   I removed the bait click pawl as could not see how to seat everything as that part opened the spring making it impossible to seat.
I tied placing spring in first then press brake ring assy over but could not get it to seat. The only way that made sense is place the spring in the brake ring assy and then seat them as a unit but that takes a lot of pressure also.

So what's the trick to get this click spring and brake ring holder back together?
