Just cooked up some mega yummy Mako Shark kabob's, maybe ruined my shark karma, and I don't care!
Those of you who don't land small Mako's are missing out on some wonderful table fare. Where I live, I'm most likely to get eaten by a Great White so why not roll this dice!
This Mako was caught on surface iron and was less than 4' long so the deckhands said ok. I kept approx. 4 pounds and shared it with the others.
Don't turn your nose up to Mako, it's delicious!
My wife marinated it a family recipe which we call Millie Marinade after her TOTALLY AWESOME AUNT! If you want the recipe I'll post it here, it's great on pork, beef, or fish.

That looks great! Here off the coast of SoCal small Mako and Thresher are keepers for those in the know...definitely would like to hear about the marinade. - john
Sorry John, I completely forgot about you...
Aunt Millie Marinade
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp dried minced onion
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
Used to Eat Thresher a lot when I was stationed in San Diego.
Melts in your mouth! Delicious. :P
If you get in a hurry just use Italian dressing on chunks.
