Hi everyone, hope your all leaving fish in the water for me, I have the above reel intrepid- made in England, the bail arm is not staying open when I wish to cast, nice sweet little reel other than that, special thanks for any info of it, cheers Don.
Good news i have this reel up and running, i have requested Mike currie to sent some pictures for me, so I will make more comments when they arrive, cheers Don.
Don's photos of his Intrepid Regent reel;

Well done working out the problem Don.
Mike
Thanks Mike for coming to my rescue once again,
the first picture shows the internal structure of the bail arm, with kno mechanical prats required, it had been dropped a few times sending it out of shape.
when I tried to open it for casting, it was springing straight back, so with a little twisting & turning, I managed to get it to work correctly.
you can see a loop & 2 little balls, the line when being wound to retrieved is actually under the small balls not through the hole.
once it has been casted you wind the handle, the little balls knock against the foot upright, & some time at the but of the handle
depending on the position of the handle, that makes the bail arm close, quite a sweet little reel when operating correctly.
intrepid also made some conventional reels, I bet they are nice & strong, keep well everyone, & thanks again Mike, cheers Don.
