Title: Possible Scam
Post by: Bill B on May 27, 2025, 01:55:42 AM
The SOA had a recent FaceBook post and someone named "Chris Smith" is attempting to sell SOA t-shirts.  After review of his website and FaceBook profile I am highly confident this is a scam.  He has been reported to the SOA Admin and Facebook.

Buyer beware

The guy was poofed by either FB or Evan quite quickly. Thanks to Brewcrafter for initially spotting the scammer.   Bill

Just so you ol timers know t-shirt  scams are about the most common thing on the internet for about 15 years. If you see a t-shirt listed anywhere on the net that isnt an actual approved vendor- SCAM. Don't even click a link.

It's almost all AI generated and all posted by bots. They use algorithm to detect popular images, themes, brands- it gets slapped on image of a shirt and spammed on any possible relevant forum, page etc .
