Title: Newell Widths
Post by: Cortez_Conversions on May 27, 2025, 02:11:57 PM
Hello All,
As many of you know, I've been asked to sell Bryan's Newell collection. Most of the complete reels have been sold with little or no issues, but now I have parts, lots of parts.
This particular question is regarding stock frame/crossbar widths. With so many custom reels out there, does anyone have a concise list of stock widths for Newells?

For example:
338 is 2-7/16" wide.
332 is 2-1/8" wide
322 is 1-5/8" wide.

From my recollection
220,322
229,332
235,338,440,533,633
344,447,546,646
454,550

I don't know about the larger 600 series but they follow the same pattern
Graphite 400,500 & 600 are wider screw pattern in the bars, the pattern in the base is different too. The aluminum bars for the P series 400 series is the same as it's smaller cousins
Hope that helps a little
I can measure them when I get home
