Title: First generation Talica 16 II, skipping in low gear

I'm going to just take a shotgun approach and start replacing parts. Already spent too much time on this reel.

Weird ,...... good luck. My skipping andros was a pain, but I got it.

Check the cross-piece that moves up and down the driveshaft to shift it, and the nesting of the 2 springs inside the shaft.

What was your issue... I'm talkin' 'bout the Andros!

It was the cross bar. It got slightly worn because I installed a washer wrong. This skipping happened enough that wore the slots in the gears. Replaced gears and bar ..... all good. If it's skipping I will fix before fishing as it only gets worse.

Alan knows all thus so he will figure it out.
