has anyone played around with one of these are know there aren't many does it have the same specs as the baja or the us senator 4/0?
Here's the specs for the MTL.
It's kinda weird that they only have a mono spec on it , I figured it would have a braid spec too, I wonder if it's roughly the same as the Baja for braid since it has the same gear ratio

It is wider than a Baja and has fewer bearings. It's not really like any other Penn reel. In some respects, it is closer to a 113H, but with US113 gearing.
It is closest to the TRQ300 than anything.

Do you think it would run kinda the same braid capacity's as the torque or the US113?
If the numbers on the box are accurate, and they're usually a bit high, it should hold about 475 yds of 80# braid (about same diameter as 30# mono), and 500 yds of 65# braid.
The US113 shows:
Mono Cap Braid Cap
(yds/lb) (yds/lb)
525/30 1085/50
440/40 905/65
325/50 780/80
The TRQ300 shows to hold a lot less line than the 113MTL, 320/30 for mono. The 113H is probably closest at 440/30 for mono. You can look all this up at www.mysticparts.com. Look under Penn Parts, then Conventional Reel Parts
I had a 113MTL but sold it before ever adding line. It appeared to have the same size spool as a regular 113H
