Title: (5) DAM Quicks for (5) Different Members
Post by: foakes on May 31, 2025, 05:15:18 PM
Sent out (7) DAM Quick new builds or restores for members last week.

This week has been family stuff, barn/shop cleaning, and weed-eating.

Got more family priorities tomorrow and Monday —- so today is a good day to knock out (5) more new builds/restorations for 5 separate members.

Just finished up a rare high speed 221 a few minutes ago, using mostly brand new old stock parts.  The only used parts were the main & worm gear.  Everything else was new as it came from the factory.

These are high speed spinners in the 220 size.  Note the longer crank handle for increased torque and control.  Only 2% of the 220 sized reels were the 221.

Crank is reversible right or left, fold down bail to relieve strain on the bail spring when stored and to help prevent bent bails during transport.  Manual or automatic bail return.  All aircraft grade aluminum body parts.  Insides are phosphor-cut machined bronze & steel with a worm-drive system and an over-sized steel main bearing.  1:5 gear ratio.

Next today will be a DAM Quick large salt 550, a 330, and two 265 Microlites.  All new builds or restores to new.

Best, Fred

Can't wait to see my 440 in one of your posts. Then I just need to figure out what to use it for eventually.
