the color doesn't line up with any current Fathom color...and the FT16 on the reel foot is a stumper??

Hi Marlinmate,

What you have there is a pre-production field test Fathom II LD reel.  FT16 =  #16 Field Test reel.

In the more distant past, the "FT#" was etched with an engraving tool, and looked pretty rough.
