There is a Penn 320 GTi available locally to me. It has a built in line counter. The photo shows it to be a 320GTiLC. Has anyone here ever seen one of these before? I have search the internet but come up blank on this one. Would it be USA or China made. Very curious about this. Thanks in advance for any information about this reel.

Lock45 - I have the 320GT2LC - purchased new and still have box/paperwork/etc. Use it for a leadcore/flycoring trolling for stripers, etc. Box definitely calls out Made in China. Let me know if any questions/anything specific that I can maybe help answer, its been a great reel for me (personal best largemounth bass at 10#2oz caught on troll at Lake Perris of all places). Also, Hardy Boy services a Jazillion of the various Penn GT's; it is a very popular reel with guides in his neck of the woods (not the LC variety, but they are all the same basic reel) so he may have some valuable info as well. - john
Had the 310GT2 LC. Fished it many times with no complaints. Felt smooth and solid, and probably 10 lbs of smooth drag. Only reason I stopped using it was needed more line capacity and drag.
Yes MACflyer, when the time comes (which is soon) and I service it I need to step down in line - it has 36# metered leadcore, which is enough to hit 35-40' depth with my conditions, but at that point I am also maxed out on the spool. I need to re-line with finer test leadcore to gain capacity. Many times we are hitting the fish slightly deeper. I have two larger reels that I also use (one on each corner of the boat and the Penn GT straight off the stern) but realistically I could get by with the next step down in line test. Line counter feature is pretty important (along with the metered line) for finding/maintaining trolling depths in "the zone" in my situation. - john
