I spent a few hours this morning fly fishing dry flies on the Marble Fork from the Lodgepole picnic area up to the campground. I hooked about 2 dozen and landed about 8 beautiful rainbow and brook trout! It was a great way to spend a few hours on a day off!
Native trout on a dry fly,,,,they have cool colors to them,,,,fantastic job man,,,,, ;D
Amazing looking fish, good fishing and great photography.

Nice, PJ!
best, Fred
Great pictures!
Always loved the colors on native Brook trout. This brings back memories as a teenager at Hearts Content PA., my brother and I caught many Brookies between 4-7" on flies. The keepers were delicious fried in a cast iron pan in butter.
Super!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Went back today and fished further up river. The fish were fired up and very aggressive, landed around 20 and hooked plenty more!
Dang dude. Get em while they're hot
Nice looking trout and good job on catching them,,,,, ;D
Nice fishing PJ. Do you know how the flow is generally in September and October compared to when you went?

The flow is slowing rapidly right now. It's a small river and probably more like a creek by late summer.
If you're coming to the area in September/October I'd fish the middle fork of the Kaweah in Sequoia or travel to Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon and fish the Kings River
