Sometimes people paint reels, it may only LOOK new. Out of curiosity, what's wrong with the gears?

This reel appears unpainted and in very good original condition, Robert --

The tolerances on these little microlite 110's is exact.

Typically, there is something else jamming or going on with the gearing, if that seems like the issue.

Could be A/R mangled, or 5 or 6 other things.

Like Jason asked, what is wrong with the gearing?  And have you popped off the side plate to see what the issue might be?

I work on 50+ of these 110's a year -- they are tough, bulletproof, and multiple generation lasting reels. Maybe the strongest Microlite.

Let us know.

Best, Fred

The drive shaft sleeves, rear worm drive sleeve, and the inside of the worm drive all need to be burnished also, Robert.

That looks like the e clip fell off at some time and didn't play well with the gears

I would replace all the gears & bearing the reel is worth it,probably
Never have to do it again.
