Shipped out (5) reels last Friday.
Yesterday and this afternoon finished up a few more.
Reels going to Robert, Eric, Tom, Tad, Denis, John, Bill, and Bill Bruce.
Here are a couple built for BillB, (Bill) -- and Brewcrafter, (John).
The DQ110 is for Bill, and the DQ550 is for John.
As with all DAM Quicks, the tolerances are tight and need to be adjusted exactly factory correct. Even a 1 or 2 MM difference in a spacer washer, bearing shield, gear bed, or a burr inside a bushing -- will adversely affect the final function and outcome.
The large saltwater DQ550 is a different animal from most DQ's to work on. To keep it fairly salt sealed, the casing is tight and requires a backwards order to reassembly. Sort of like building a ship in a bottle -- there are non-intuitive procedures that also require some specific tools. But they are as tough and battle-proven as they come.
Trying to get out as many as possible this week before being gone on a travel trailer trip over to the Coast for (4) days next week.

Thanks Fred! Great work as always! You can toss mine in the same box as Bill's and send both to him (save a little on shipping) since he comes down the hill pretty regular. - John
Cool, John --
Will do today.

Wow! You Rock Brother! Can't wait to use it. The fish are biting at Lake Gregory.
Fred,
Thank you - I cannot wait to see my reel. Busy at work but should be using it in about six weeks!
Thanks again.
Tad
Went down to the Post Office today, Tad -- along with 5 other shipments.
