Worked on a Mitchell 300 this morning. Needed a part that was not in the main shop, went out to the outer shop upstairs. Found the part in the last of 13 large crates. at the bottom of one of the crates I found what I thought was just an empty original clamshell Mitchell reel box.
Well, it contained a brand new Mitchell 300C with all matching paperwork, plus a spare spool.
Pristine and never used.
Any member who wants it, $85.
For those who may not know, the 300C is a rare and unique reel. It is like a 300 -- except it also has (2) sets of roller bearings instead of sleeves. One at the crank handle, and another at the rotor/pinion. Smooth as oiled glass.
First email gets it, and it will be packed and shipped immediately today or tomorrow.
No payment until you receive the reel.
