Hi, This is my first post on this board. I mostly just soak in the info posted here. Anyway what I am looking for is all the trade reels Shakespeare made in of the Maroon and Grey Sea Wonders and the 2068, 2065, 2064 and the 2062 and 2052 if they are not grouped with the Sea wonders. I collect these reels and trying to identify all Shakes made for other companies. I am missing acout a dozen that I know of. 4 of them are reels Shakespeare reels, the 3 manual pickup reels 2064, 2082 and 2092. If you can help me I will send or post my reels list to take a look at. Thanks Claude McMorris
Here are some examples. I have Bronson, South Bend, J C Higgins (sears), Ted Williams, Eagle Claw Forgetting 1 or more I bet. Thanks for any help u can send Claude
Are you looking to obtain actual reels or looking for a comprehensive list of the reels (makes & models) made by Shakespeare & sold by Shakespeare and other various companies?
Of course I want to add all I am missing but really trying tro compile a list of all shakespeare made reels for any other company but only the Sea Wonders including the 2064, 2065, 2068, 2052 and 2062. So all 2052 that are rebadged shakespeare and all the other maroon and grey reels. Trade reels

How about you post a detailed list of all the reels that you know exist and I'll add to it any that you aren't aware of or have missed.
I have had some correspondence with the OP via FB and it's a LOT easier to communicate here. Claude and I have very similar interests as far as reels.
I feel like Horrocks-Ibbotson also sold a rebadged Shakespeare, model 1945 as I recall, but I can't seem to find any pics online. I want to say it was a 2062 but won't swear to it.
Here is my list. ones with 2 dashes in the beginning I dont have. If you have a reel or see a mistake Let me know.

I have that on my list as well as a 1947 but I have seen no pictures or proof they exist yet. I feel certain especially since your post they must exist.
Another fan here; that's a nice bunch of reels to go after, not only to collect, but to use also.

If I get what I think is a mostly completed list I will Repost ann the trade reels I found them making. I am interested in any reels that I dont have that is marked with -- or any not even on this list. Trying to preserve a little history. I also have a pretty extensive Mitchell collection, quite a few italian reels Got all the eagle claw Mediterian reel the old pal cat series, Been collecting them for 30 plus years
I have seen both the HI 1945 & 1947 via eBay listings so I know they were actually made. It's been at least 8 or 10 years ago so I can't remember for sure which one was which model.
Your list is missing the Pfluegers Supreme 550 i.e. 2052, Supreme 551 i.e. 2062 & Supreme 600 i.e. 2081.
The Eagle Claw ECH is the 2081.
There are a few others missing from the list that I will add when I have a little more time.

I would have (also should have) purchased the H-Is but they sold for way above my means at the time. Those things are extremely rare & hard to find.
Here are a few Shakespeare examples you don't have listed:
2070, 2080 & 2090 black textured finish. The black textured finish was offered as the first version prior to the charcoal gray reels & are very rare.
2064-RH, 2065-RH, 2068-RH, 2080-RH, 2090-RH These are right hand wind models & quite hard to find.
2064 & 2065 cutaway salesman samples.

You are correct. I need to add those to my list. I would love the black ones but I started collecting them too late and have never seen one for sale. Nor have I seen a right crank one. I would probably buy any RH one as there is only a few of them. Mitchells I only do left crank as there is so many.I will add these to my list. Please send me others if you think of some. I didnt know there was a Ted Williams VI that was a 2091A until recently. that got me on the hunt again. Hence I found this site. I have alot of knowledge of Mitchells if anyone needs some info. Appreciate all the help I am getting Thanks Claude
Just bought a Pflueger 550 today, overpriced ebay item that didn't sell, seller came back and asked for an offer, which they accepted. Oddly enough I don't own a 2052 yet, so I guess I need a half dozen 2052s. Do we know what color the II 1945 and 1947 were?
Correction...what color were the HI 1947/1947?
I found a couple of shakespeare reels a 1920 Wondereel, model FK, very heavey reel for its size, abut the same size as the pflueger akron, and the other is a Shakespeare Triumph, model FK or FR, hard to see it, once again nice heavey reel, cheers Don.
A few of my 2062 variants.

It's been so long ago that I don't remember for sure. For some reason I'm thinking goldish or brassish, but don't quote me on it.
I have never even seen a picture of the H-I versions. Guess I just need to keep my eyes open and see if I stumble on one at some point.
Is this an example of the HI reel?

If so, it's available at a good "buy it now" price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/375685669681?itmmeta=01K4MYEM4MPDFX7W4724DGR06W&hash=item57789c6331:g:718AAOSwsotm~Kfq&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA4MHg7L1Zz0LA5DYYmRTS30k3fb%2BjYtx7KDlzP7%2Bw3rf6WLiS9dYo61cHKCGrzfy8YhNWHX21XUIhZgKD8TtYBRgwz17riU0KXXcbgKKE3VLj3aZwtHJW8ohIUp2r6I9E9kSeotAXUW33xE0ymwCeMZac3UMVtI0roKTdmzQOQMFAbPH6GuVNXUIsKCZIhxIZzNEVgcoCvy6mqVodaRklLx6CT%2B3s56AjqzKnXsqoI%2BpUPpkom2QXarCTbl0BFXwhSvKiYR2UhJIFK01H1b%2B%2BUlgCdyMcFabuo3ZFTDeCN970%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7LCup6lZg
That's not one of the Shakespeare-built ones but that may give us a clue about the color scheme. I've seen some two-tone green H-I reels too, not too far from Heddon greens.

No, that's one of their cheap, more or less, junk models. You also see them a lot in green. The models 1945 & 1947 are & look exactly the same as the Shakespeare 2052 & 2062 only in a different color.
