I finally finished my Jigmaster 500. Other than side plates nothing else can be done that I can think of. That's you to the ones who have helped me.
Did they inspire you or infect you?! You went with a SS gear sleeve, SS double dog bridge, SS yoke, more carbon drag washers, etc?
:0)
Looks great!
Best, Fred
Nice! Like that handle knob a lot.

Yes I went with all of those, and SS jack.
Just don't make the mistake I continue to make. I keep going offshore and deciding to use other reels because # of rigs I can bring is limited. So I have 5 built jig masters (but not quite thaaaat built) that have never left dry land. Do better than me, if you can.
I understand thank you

Love the jigmaster. Yes I may have lost count of how many fully customized and tanked jigmasters I've built and cherish, but have no regrets. Caught many king salmon on a couple cortez jigmasters, and hundreds of Albacore, and someday I'll be reeling in a big halibut on one. I also have several stock new in box jigmasters. Probly the most versatile reel Penn ever produced, and nowaday there's so many options for upgrades, why would I not dive in the rabbit hole with a smile.
The legendary Randy Pauly proved just what a stock jigmaster is capable of doing. Here's a pic for those that aren't aware of what a stock jigmaster can do. This pic should be on the front cover of a penn catalog
