Hello everyone...
Thank you for confirming my membership in this prestigious group.
I've been following this group as a visitor for some time and immediately found very interesting insights and technical explanations, which I now incorporate into my own experience.
I live in Italy, am 59 years old, and have been collecting vintage reels for several decades.
I am one of the four founding members of the ANTIPES Association, "National Italian Association of Antique Fishing Equipment," and am also the webmaster of its website.
I hope to learn a lot from this group and, if necessary, also be helpful in providing historical and technical information on Italian made models.
Reels produced by Zangi, Alcedo, Coptes, Cargem, Ofmer, Nettuno, Agal, Spem, Simplex, Niagara, and many other brands are part of my collection.
Over time, I've also been fortunate enough to complete my collections of spinning reels made in Italy and destined for the US market, from renowned brands such as ORVIS, Sears Roebuck, Ted Williams, Pescador, Old Pal, Holliday, True Temper, etc.
I'm certain that the passion that unites us knows no bounds, and there's still much to learn.
Thanks again.
Sergio

Welcome Sergio from Southern California! Like Gfish, you mentioned a lot of names (and it looks like a really nice display) of reels that I have never heard of or seen; glad you are here with us to share your knowledge! - john
