I know this is a cheap reel but a friend gave it to me the other day after I found it laying on his dock. Not sure how long it had been laying there, looks like a fair amount of time. Anyway, I like working on....well, stuff. I start breaking it down and a spring jumped off almost immediately. I didn't even catch a glimpse of where it was attached. Nor did I see which direction it went when it departed. I found it...surprisingly. Cant figure out where it was attached. Normally have no problem with that kind of thing...but i'm stumped. Can't find a schematic on it, I'm guessing because it's a cheap model.
Take a pic of the inside and post it. We might be able to spot an absence. There's only so many reel designs out there. It'll be similar to something.
Might be a spring under the spool for the clicker and a spring under rotor cover for the bail. Inside body, like Jason posted, a picture would help.
I was about to take a picture of it to post yesterday when i figured out where it goes. Saw it as soon as i looked at it. lol...but also have spent 2-3 hours worrying with it. Thanks for the replies. Feels good to know that people are actually reading the posts and just being involved.
