Title: DIY Rod Carrying Handle
Post by: Bill B on November 25, 2025, 12:41:45 AM
Just before the 8 day left in October, I was sitting behind the truck waiting for the guys to show up.  An older gentleman pulled into the parking spot next to me and began unloading his gear for a 3 day.  Anyway out came his rods with his DIY rod carrying handle.  He made it out of Schedule 40 PVC, heated it with a heat gun and bent and molded it into this handle.  He applied a camo paint job.  All in all i figure he has about $8 invested.   It's secured with velcro straps around the rods and handle.  Pretty ingenious if I do say so.

There looks to be some Paracord threaded thru there... Definitely clever. Carrying 3 rods a half mile down the beach gets really really old. Maybe I'll try to rig up something similar. Minus the camo paint job, I wanna be able to find it.

I like it; might have to give it a try.
