Title: Senator 14/0
Post by: Donnyboat on December 09, 2025, 10:02:36 PM
this will make you all drool, I brought a 14/0 for AU $300, it has a cracked chrome ring on the tail plate, I removed the line nylon about 130 lbs, or maybe 150lbs, lucky I had an empty 16/0, so I placed it onto that, then added some more line to it, so when I get it back onto the original reel it will fill the spool, by the way the spool never had a bit of corrosion on it, so I have cleaned the reel up, it looks great now, so I then placed the line onto another 14/0, and now I am placing it back onto the original, so then the line is reverst, and looks almost new, on the out side of the reel, must be about 2.5 km on it, all wound on by hand, is there anyone that make rings for them, I also mist out on another 14/0 they were asking AU $500, for it. keep well, cheers Don.

Yes thanks Steve, I have to spend quite a bit of money, to reduce the postage costs to Australia.
Jason, I now have 2 14/0 reels, also a 16/0, plus every other senator from 1/0 to 16/0.
AU $300, is about US $100. cheers Don.
