Title: Isuzu charger x 1
Post by: Gregory on December 21, 2025, 10:20:37 PM
Hi
I picked up a bunch of reels and have started cleaning this Isuzu x1
There are 2 washers marked in black
They popped out after my cleaning and am unsure we're they fit
I presume they go in both sides on the outside as they don't fit on the inside of the frame
Advice welcome and have a great Christmas

How thin are they? Some spinning reels have shims on top of the main gear. I know nothing about the brand you're working on. Have three or four reels still apart right now, because I didn't take some simple pictures lol.

Never heard of an Isuzu reel, same as the automobile co.?
Are there ball-bearings or bushings for the main gear? Those look like they would go in front of, or behind the bearings/bushings on the main gear. Disassembling spinners with alota grease in that area has eventually revealed shim washers to me several times where I didn't know which side they were supposed to be on.
If they fit in there, try both sides to see which arrangement has less friction when turning.
