Title: Shakespeare schematic and need some parts
Post by: Patmos on January 17, 2026, 03:52:04 AM
I'm in process of cleaning up a Shakespeare Professional 1965 Model FK.  Very nice reel, outside cleaned up really nice.  Need schematic before opening up the reel, cannot find one anywhere.
I do know that I will need a replacement (1) line guide, plus the tiny pawl retainer (2) cover screw.
So, where are all the Shakespeare schematics for baitcast reels (like this Professional 1965)?  Did they just not publish them, or ????

You won't really need one.  It's pretty straightforward.  Just watch what you're doing as you disassemble it and take pictures.  It was made in 1951 when they didn't use a lot of tiny parts and springs.

Thanks.  Suggestions on sources for the line guide and small screw ?
