Title: unbranded made in Japan?
Post by: Christopher M Songer on January 19, 2026, 01:35:35 PM
Got this years ago in a bucket of old reels. Any help with identification and value, greatly appreciated! I have too much stuff laying around and heading to a Sportsman's flea market next Sun. Hope to find a new home for this and dozens of other "older" reels. Spring cleaning before I go to Fl for the whole month of Feb. Just no reason to stay in Ohio this time of year.

Most likely Ueno Seiko/Olympic. There were a lot cheap fly fishing kits in wooden boxes brought back to the USA after the Korean War. Most of them contained cheap bamboo fly rods, a skeleton reel and some flies and lures.
