Title: Dam Quick Juniors
Post by: oldmanjoe on February 02, 2026, 06:10:15 AM
I pick up a bunch of reels and in the bunch were two juniors in sad shape . I am going by this schematics  .             https://www.reelschematic.com/wp-content/uploads/schematics/Dam%20Quick/Dam%20Quick%20240%20Junior.pdf

One reel was missing a handle , it has 4 mm square shaft 6 mm long and threads .  The schematics handle looks to be a beam handle , yet I have seen these reels with S shape flat stock handles .
This one has the bevel cut gears , were as the other one has flat cut gears .   What handle belong on this reel?

Either crank handle will work on these, Joe —-

However, the red version is an older version (V2 of 3) —- and this is the proper setup —-

Spacer, crank handle with attached crank flat thumb knob, spring washer, crank nut.

Here is what you need —- Brand new old stock parts from the 50's.

Probably 1958.  N/C to you.

Best, Fred

Ok I see now , looks like two different knurled nuts .  one has a shoulder on like the one I have , for the S shape handle .
Thank You I will take it and I need to PM you later today for other parts that I need to complete some reel laying in a box .
