Title: 320GTi bridge plate repair.
Post by: Lock45 on March 02, 2026, 09:17:23 PM

The steel post on the brass bridge plate of my 320GTi has come loose and rotates. It should be staked tightly in place. Can I silver braze it to stop it from rotating? If this is a valid repair, what is the best way to remove the ball bearing without damaging it so I can reinstall it after brazing? Thanks in advance for any solutions to my problem.

Getting the bearing is work and fixing the gear post most likely won't hold.  Mysticparts.com has the complete bridge assembly available.

Or loko, for a donor reel.

Just tap the bearing out with a something that is the size of the hole.... it will come out no problem.  I have peened the post on some if not badly corroded but you could braze it. As stated mystic has them, I have lots of used ones also an i know retired and fishing on here has some as he got them from me.

Cheers
