I had never heard of such a thing, apparently it is Danish production, 1956-57. Looks for all the world like a gold Orvis 100. I'll be curious to see where the bidding ends.

Reportedly there were 2000 built for the US and Canadian markets.

I see online a purported connection between Andrika and "B.M.W."  Does anyone know, is the B.M.W. reference to the auto maker?

I don't believe so, I think THIS B.M.W. is a fishing equipment company. I was told in a facebook group that the few reels that were sold in the US were primarily on the West Coast but I can't confirm that. I don't DARE go down yet another collecting rabbit hole with Danish reels.
