Can anyone tell me how to use the "Dual Drag" on the Custom 7000? On top of the spool is a drag knob but no drag stack like I would expect. And the lever at the bottom is the anti reverse lever. The bottom knob, albeit cracked, seems to adjust the drag.

The front drag have only 1 drag washer ,rear drag have stack washer inside reel . You can use both front and rear drag
I think the spool drag is the low pressure one and the rear drag has the better friction set-up. Maybe kinda like a baitrunner, only opposite. I don't know. You'll have to play with it. See what happens once you start reeling. On a baitrunner, when you start reeling, a switch on the bottom of the reel kicks the baitrunner feature off and drag is adjusted at the spool. Does that one lock the spool-up when you start to crank?

My memory is a little fuzzy but I believe the rear drag is the main drag adjustment. You set that one first, and then the front drag is used for fine-tuning/upping drag gradually during a fight.
Whatever you do DON'T over-tighten or try to lock down the front drag; the pressure will blow out the spindle upon which the spool sits.
I's waitin for someone else to post on this'n. That makes more sense cbar45.
I had one and rarely fished it. Just couldn't get used to the novelty. Shimano was probably trying to do something similar with their larger spinners, as that "lever bar fight'n drag" adjustment did on their smaller ones.
The front drag with only 1 Teflon washer similar to Shimano Bass one that have only front drag ,once it slip then it get very little drag . i think that is why they made duel drag
