I have two touring kayaks that I fish out of in fresh water (well use to anyway but still have the kayaks). They will get you into some tight places where even small boats can't reach.

I was looking a Hobie fisherman models a while back, but they are proud of those too.

Good luck with your new toy,

Steve

Wow, looks comfortable. Perhaps not the best for big lakes during high wind events or the sea & swell of the ocean. The seat gives you a high center of gravity, or, is it height adjustable? 2 motors, great idea. You never know when one will fail in some way.

How many miles can you get out of one charge with something like that?

That's easy Steve, it only depends on about 4-5 different things. Battery capacity, speed used/needed, amp draw of the motor at the average speed used, wind speed and direction, current speed and direction, overall weight of rig, chop intensity in freshwater and sea and swell direction in the ocean.

The advertising pictures and videos always seem to only show almost ideal conditions.

JMO, any manufactures that tell you standing up to fly cast or whatever, is easy in their kayaks, need to mention that it's never easy and should only be done in almost perfect conditions. Imagine you're in the water over your head, trying to flip-over a 100#+ yak with big heavy batteries, etc., on the underside.
