Title: Ocean City Angeleno
Post by: ourford on April 09, 2026, 05:23:24 PM
I came across this Angeleno and thanks to ORCA, determined it's the smallest one aka 171. Seems to be about the size of a jigmaster Jr. Its not a take apart, but almost looks like that's where they were going with it having  external and internal screws. They didn't bother counter sinking the screws, they drilled the plates to fit. Pretty light reel at 17oz. Aluminum spool.

That is a very cool looking reel in great shape.  I'm not knowledgeable about a lot of older reels but since you said ORCA was involved I am guessing you have a pretty special piece. - john

My favorite part of the OC reels is the handy little tool on the handle, very clever

Looks like the logo says ARGELERO. I'm no OC eggspurt, but I have seen other models that have inner screws that hold the rings to the frame posts and then outer screws to attach the sideplates to a frame post and the middle screw of the seat. This particular reel likely had a short production run, and continued production, with updated internals design, and changed to a different name
