I'm looking to buy (2) American Tackle CWWT tip tops...probably 8/64" tube size. It has a Carboloy ring and shiny/polished finish (see attached file). Pacific Bay CSBT is similar but not as shiny so my first choice is the American Tackle part. I'm trying to match the tip tops on another rod so the two rods I'm fixing up all look the same. Supposedly the American Tackle CWWT tip tops have been discontinued so I'm hoping someone out there has some they might be willing to sell. Thanks in advance.
You might try voodoo rods, they might have some
Contact platinum parts in Tampa. Their rod components supply far exceeds that which is listed on their website and they have a lot of amtac stuff.
Thanks for the suggestions. I reached out to HFF and also Platinum Parts and they are both looking for me as I type this. I haven't reached out to Voodoo Rods yet.
Update: Voodoo does not have any carbide in stock. I can't find anyone with the CWWT's...including Ebay...so I might have to settle for the Pacific Bay CSBT which Platinum Parts has in stock.
Is this what you're looking for? 6.5 on the tip chart. I think it's a mildrum
Swami805, yes but I need a 7 and an 8 tube size. 6.5 is probably too small.
Can I suggest just changing both tips? Then it'll def match.
Or does one just sand a little bit more to make a 6.5 fit?
Check out anglers workshop/lure parts online AWMD carbide boat tops. It's their house brand but usually good stuff. I've been buying stuff from them since before the internet.
Those would be my second choice. The CWWT has more of a polished finish so I'm still hoping for that. See the attachment in my original post for a picture of the CWWT family.
