Title: 700 rotor?

On the older 700 is the silver part below the rotor a bearing cover?

Yes, it is both a bearing retainer, as well as an under-rotor shield.

It is constructed of very high quality SS.

One of the toughest parts on one of the best large spinners ever produced.
