I'll assume polished metal drag washers are smoother but has anyone ever tried to rough them up a bit to see if it increases the drag without getting jerky? I'm thinking a few minutes on a course stone to give the washer a slight profile.
i've tried both. didn't seem to make a difference....... :-\
