What electric reel do you recommend that isn't going to break the bank? I'd like one that isn't going to break in a year or two.

How big?
What kind of depth are you going to be fishing and how much weight?

Shimano Forcemaster 6000 or 9000 is a good general purpose, fairly heavy-duty option that will actually have parts support for a decent time, as compared to the Banax/Mystery Brand options. Daiwa Tanacom or Seapower are also good mid-range options.
