Title: Saltiga Replacing Bushing with Bearing ?
Post by: xaf on April 27, 2012, 12:57:13 PM
There is a thread in the Shimano section on replacing the drive shaft bushing with a bearing on Torium reels.  I was servicing my Saltiga's and realized that they too have a bushing at the bottom of the drive shaft instead of a bearing.  Would replacing the bushing with a bearing improve performance?  Has anyone made this upgrade?  If so, what size bearing?  Is there a part number that is a direct replacement.  Thanks

measure the bushing.  they are typically in whole millimeters.  if you are lucky, there will be a bearing with the same dimensions.  http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=1190.0
