Title: PENN'S PILED ON MY WORKBENCH
Post by: Dominick on May 07, 2012, 09:40:44 PM
Hi all you A T members.  I decided to photogragh all my reels and show them on this thread.  I started to arrange them so that they showed better than they do, but I got too lazy.  Some reels I had to remove from rods, some would not cooperate by sitting up tall and handsome and the light was terrible as my workbench is facing a window with a northwest exposure.  The sun reflects off the house next door so it is difficult to work in the mid afternoon.  So I just laid them out there.  If you have any questions, just ask.  I took 5 photos from somewhat differen angles so that you could see all the reels.  The reels are all Penns except for 4 small reels at the right side of the picture.  They are pflueger and ocean City reels.  I tried to get a better angle for the photos but my wife's car was parked in the garage.  I don't get it.  She does not understand what a garage is for.  She insists on parking in my cave.  Dominick

Dominick, those reels are awesome. I do not own any Internationals but that 20 looks sweet, I was always interested about getting myself one. I'm hoping that you put those reels back to where they belong, I'm not crazy about the way you stacked them on that bench. Don't be mistreating my Penn's. Thanks for showing them Dominick, very nice  ;).

Looks to me like there is another customer for the Betty Ford "Reelhab" Center  ;D
Am I correct when I say you are a Penn man only?  I think I see one Ocean City and the rest Penn's?
I love the silver custom handles (Sal's guy?)
I really, really love that spool on the Mariner... you ain't finding many of them, Pal 8)
Nice collection brotha,
Dom

Dom,

Nice collection of reels, I bet they have all caught a lot of fish.
I really like that old Penn 20.

A man and his cave just don't get any respect nowadays. :(

Dominick, I didn't realize you had that many. Nice variety. A real fisherman. :)

Where's that red spool ?
Look at the Penn International 50.  In front of that is a Penn Senator 114HLW.  In front of that is the rebuilt 113H with SS sleeve, and double dogs.  It has 80lb mono and Black Pearl's yellow 80lb braid.  I will be fishing it and reporting on the braid as I promised Alan at Black Pearl that I would test and report.  It's my tank with a red spool.  Dominick

It's because you call it a garage.  If you called it a workshop, it would be an entirely different situation.

Makule:  She is out with the car right now.  I'll call her on her cell phone and tell her it is a workshop.  Pray for me.  Dominick

Your collection is too larger.  I will help liberate you of such clutter.

Sal, which reel did you want again?  International 20?

When's dinner again?

Love it Dominick.
So many to choose from, but my highlights would have to be the International 20, the 349H, and that Baja beauty.
Also like the vented spool on the black 49 - as Dom noted, they seem particularly rare..
And mustn't forget your 113H Tank - lovely.
Great stuff.
Cheers mate, Justin

Good luck with that Dominick! ::)

Hey, c'mon guys. Dominick asks for prayers when he tells his wife it's now a workshop and the buzzards are starting to circle. :-\  Of course, the Int'l 20 does look pretty nice and I wouldn't mind another baja special. ;D ;D

Bryan, let me know if you see a nuclear mushroom cloud from Dominick's direction. ;)

Thank you all for the compliments.  If I would have known the excitement that these reels would generate, I would have set-up and posed the reels better.  By the way I like it when you guys act jealous over my reels.  Dominick

I'm getting a bad case of penn envy, I'll be back when I get done with therapy.
