just open my Akios 757 ctm for cleaning and noticed that the pinion is loose and wobbly. is this normal?
i've also linked to a short video. appreciate if you could advise.
PS : have sent an email to akios but yet to receive a reply.

slap it back together and see if it lines up properly. you should be fine.

I sent this link to OMOTO about it. As you might know that OMOTO is the manufacturer for Akios.
Alan, i did as you suggested and followed the schematics as best i could. but the problem persist.
i've checked with a friend who has a omoto chief ctm, and he confirmed that the pinion should not wobbles.
Black Pearl and Alan, thanks you.
bad yoke?
received a reply from Simon Bradbury. according to him, and i quote
"The pinion will rock when the reel is apart, when the spindle is located the reel then will mesh, all the reels do this, when the spindle is inserted back in pinion it puts the gears in line"
i did a comparison of the schematics for the 656 ctm and 757 ctm. the gear assembly are different.
the 757 ctm does not have a yoke.
to get a prompt reply and from the man himself, gives me great confidence in their reels.
