G'day morpheus,
The 700TE is a great reel - it'll do a fine job of jigging.
The ratio (4.7:1) is relatively high, but in the right range.
It's also got a good-sized handle, which can be a real bonus over a day of jigging.
Unlike specialist jigging reels like the Saltiga Z40 (http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=2912.0 (http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=2912.0)), you have to manually engage/disengage the clutch, which some find a hassle.
Otherwise, it's spot on.
Good luck, Justin
