Title: Penn 500's with 3 different spools
Post by: john2244 on May 19, 2012, 12:05:00 AM
All Penn 500 reels.  First a used 1982 Penn 500 S with red anodized spool.  Then an older Penn 500 with what I believe is
a stainless steel spool and last an older Penn 500 with a silver anodized spool.  I believe the silver anodized spool is very rare.
The last 2 reels are in new condition.

Alan,
I purchased the silver anodized spool from a friend. I am not sure where he got it but I will check with him and let you know.  He has one more available that I am going to buy for another reel next week. I have only seen a picture of one and never one in a reel in person.  I think it is rare but I don't really know for sure.
