Title: trigger style reel seat clamps
Post by: arrowhawk on May 19, 2012, 07:50:02 PM
I was fishing with a friend on mine that had a nylon reel seat clamp that had a trigger.
Does anybody know where I can get one? He told me the one he had was old
and had no clue where he bought it.

I vaguely remember that Charkbait used to sell them, but I don't see that style on their website anymore.  You could contact them and see if they have any left over.

I have a couple and am racking my brain trying to remember where they came from-I believe it was Cabela's-the only markings on them say  'Patent Pending'.

OTOH it may have been the old Backbone company that sold a lot through Charkbait as mentioned.

If you're interested they're for sale cheap but international shipping is a PITA-PM for more details.

I know the guy who makes these if they will work for you. They slide under the OEM clamp.
