Don't bother calling Shimano for service on a $600 fishing reel if it's a Stella "f". They simply "discontinued" this modela and all associated repairs. Why on earth would I ever buy another Shimano product? Customer Service is something that you have to practice every day.
yeesh..... they've gotta do something!!??
They may not have parts (although most are interchangeable)...
But they would almost certainly have to service the reel..
I would call back and talk to another/diff service tech....
Even ask for a supervisor if they dont help...
Shimano is very good at customer service, they should take care of you??????
